Evaluating online information

Online information can be very tricky to navigate. A user's task is to know fake from real information. Unfortunately, with limited training this task can prove to be difficult. To add, the ease of data flow can also cause an issue since it is easier to look at a flashy youtube video than reading a newspaper article or a lengthly website post.

The platforms I use are mainly professional and do not pose any concern to me.

I'm very keen with online information and try to ensure I'm only consuming viable information. With the age of social media and "easy" access to news and information there are many organisations and groups taking advantage of the reach. I was pleasantly surprised with the results of the Fake news game. I was able to successfully distinguish between good sources and otherwise fake news or sources.  I did not do any need to verify the given news, however, If i'm uncertain about any information I see then I proceed to do a check. Thankfully, my gut was able to distinguish between the information.
