As stated in one of the modules, information overload  is one of the main issues and challenges when finding information online. Information production, duplication, and transmission is occurring at an exponential rate posing quite a challenge in ensuring the credibility and reliability of sources.

I do have concerns that sometimes an inappropriate ad or image might pop up from a seemingly credible page. Another concern is the legitimacy of such information and that in fact I might be sourcing fake news. Thus, it's important to check the source of information and cross-reference the information with already established, credible sources.

In the era of fake news, we cannot rely on gut feeling to spot fake news because those who produce fake news will intentionally manipulate information as much as possible because their intention is to deceive and spread disinformation.  There are several tools that we can use to fact-check any information that we may want to share and avoid becoming yet another pawn in the fake news movement.
