Week one was an eye-opener in that allowed me see how easy it is to have your life out there for the public consumption. The thought of knowing there is a digital footprint that can be followed and found online showed me that I need to be very careful. Due to this our identity can be stolen and use by other for their selfish benefit so I say be careful. Week 1 thought me of the importance of building a positive digital identity, not only for me, but also for my students. This encouraged me to review my personal identity and to be cautious about what I share on my post on social media. I believe that it is now our responsibility to inform our students, teacher and parents about the importance of how to use the World Wide Web.
