Unit Summary

This Unit has provided a broad introduction to Digital Marketing Channels. It is in no way an exhaustive list of how the different channels are used for marketing purposes. The emphasis is on the presence of advertisement in all services which are supposedly free: it is the income from marketing which keeps everything running. We have also seen some examples of video and static ads. A number of links to success stories has been given as well. 

The recent advances in the field of ICT have completely changed the marketing landscape from “one ad for all” to completely personalised ads. Additionally the success rates of digital marketing campaign can be measured. With the new state of the game anyone can become a player in the field and generate income. The only requirement for success is to have something of value to give and hence attract followers.
