How will I acquire the MS PowerPoint skills needed?

To refresh, upgrade or acquire basic PowerPoint skills you go through the PowerPoint tutorial modules on

PowerPoint tutorial 2010 when you use MS Office 2010

PowerPoint tutorial 2013 when you use MS Office 2013

or any other online tutorial covering the skills listed in the Checklist MS PowerPoint skills. Some are listed in "Options for MS PowerPoint tutorials".

To acquire skills means you have to practice, to actually carry out the steps described in the tutorial. Consider working with a colleague - so you have two screens- one to display the tutorial the other to actually DO in MS PowerPoint the steps described. 

The skills needed are in tutorial 4 to 25 and 31. Use the text, view the video, download the practice PowerPoint - and you will become a competent MS PowerPoint user.
